Cover lots of water

August on the Metolius can be tough. Cover lots of water and you should be able to find some feeding fish. Golden stoneflies will continue to hatch well into August. The fish have been seeing these bugs for over a month now and are pretty well queued in. A Stimulator and a dropper nymph rig will enable you to efficiently cover lots of water.
