Lava has seen some calibaetis hatches and terrstrials like ants and beetles have taken fish. This is a fun fishery, especially when the big lakes are too windy. This is also a great place for float tubes and pontoon boats as the size is managable. If Big Lava is too much, head over to the Little lake, it fishes about the same. Fishing clear lines and damsel patterns or leeches/buggers is a fun way to take fish. Work the shorelline drop off's and vary your retrieve rate until you find success.
