Below Benham Falls to Town

The Upper Deschutes from Benham Falls down to Sawyer Park can make for a great fishing outing. If you are sick of blowing through a full tank of gas to get some where far and remote to fish, then the Upper D can be your good friend. Winter flows on the Upper Deschutes are lower than normal and gives us the opportunity to wade and fish the deeper pools. There are some big Rainbows and Browns that swim the waters of the Upper Deschutes. All wild and healthy, these fish will chase streamers, eat stonefly nymphs, and best of all come up and eat Blue Wing Olives. I have heard good reports lately from this section. Lots of access points too, so if you have any questions of where to go, we at Fly and Field can point you in the right direction.
