Upper Deschutes
The Upper Deschutes from Benham Falls down is currently in great shape. Stonefly nymphs are moving around and nearing the stage of hatching. Nymphing a stonefly nymph with a small mayfly dropper is the perfect setup all through the Deschutes River. Small caddis and bwo's are around especially on the cloudy warm days. This time of year can be very productive on the Upper Deschutes. Don't pass it up on considerations of where to fish. The fish and fishermen now whats around the corner. Salmonflies!
