Crooked River Action

Sitting in the fly shop and looking out the window to a blue bird day makes me wish I was outside fishing on the river. The Crooked river is fishing awesome and is a fantastic outing this time of year. The drive is short, the fish are wild, and the scenery is beautiful. There have been good hatches of Blue wing olives and midges. The nymph game out on the Crooked normally does amazing. Use little mayfly nymphs and zebra midges and you should do just fine. Pheasant tails, copper johns, lightning bugs, little egg patterns, and scuds are all great options. Take advantage of this awesome weather and get out while it lasts.
