Caddis Hatches Strong on the Crooked

This last Saturday, I got the awesome opportunity to guide Andy and Brooke out on the Crooked. The weather was pretty ugly with a mix of rain and wind but that didn't stop the caddis from going off. We got on the water at about eleven and signs of caddis were present right away. Around 12:30, the caddis hatch was thick and strong and fish were on the eat. We used a size 16 tan caddis and had awesome action for the next couple of hours. Andy and Brooke did fantastic for their first time. It was a blast watching them react to all the fish that were coming up for their caddis. Caddis should be around all throughout summer which can make for some awesome dry fly fishing out on the Crooked.
