The Fall is a great place to spend a winter day. There will be good hatches throughout the colder months. BWO's should be the main player on the surface, but don't ovelook midges too. The most productive time of the day for surface activity should be the early afternoon. If you arrive in the morning hours try a midge and small Pheasant Tail or another BWO type nymph under an indicator. Streamers are another good option here as sometimes those fish that are not aggressive will respond to a stripped bugger. There will be some smaller winter stones showing here soon as well. This is a super clear spring creek so remember to make your presentaions precise and approach rising fish with caution. Sparely tyed flies, emergers and duns seem to be the best option here.
