The Fall River has seen some good hatches as of late. There are a couple different mayflies hatching, usually around 11am-3pm. You should see the hatches progress with each species being dominant depending on the time of day. Watch closely as these bugs are only slightly different in size and color. The water here is awfully clear, so be careful not to spook the fish by walking too close or with a bad cast. If all else fails, don't overlook a streamer pattern stripped by the noses of those fish that wouldn't come to the dries or nymphs. The snow is falling a bit as I write, so be prepared for some colder conditons here. The area below the falls is closed, so make sure you know the river and the regulations before heading out.
