The Crooked has been fishing well. We have had a few guide trips out here lately and the catching has been consistent. There should be some whitefish spawning here and a small egg pattern could keep your rod bent. Add a midge or BWO dropper if you'd like to increase your odds a bit. Don't forget about the BWO hatches as they have appeared on most occasions. Most surface activity will be around the warmer parts of the day. Around noon, take a break, eat a sandwich and watch for rise forms. The water levels have been consistently low so reading the water has been fairly easy. Watch throughout the winter as ups and downs in the flows will effect the bite. Rising water is never great, stability is what you want to see.
