BWO's on the Met
The forecast all week was calling for an epic weekend with temps in the mid to upper 60's. I decided to hit the Met with my family, my fishing buddy Kevin, and his family on Saturday. Why??? Because the weather man in Central Oregon is ever wrong. Well i'm pretty sure the temps never got above 40 degrees and yes it rained and snowed most of the day. Which can make for some pretty decent BWO hatches. The hatch didn't last very long and the fish never really keyed into the dries but the nymphing was the ticket. A Golden Stone Nymph, with any small beadhead dropper fished deep produced a couple nice bows along with a 22 in chunky Bull Trout.
