Still kicking them out

The Fall has been the most consistent fishery we have seen this winter and it continues to be. There have been good reports coming from here and the hatches of BWO's has been good right around 1pm. If you arrive earlier than 1pm, it might be a good idea to nymph subsurface offerings like the winker's midge or tiny PT's or other BWO type nymphs. Keep things small for the most part, size 18-22's are usually the ticket. The river has been busy, especially with the Crooked and Middle Deschutes being high. It is beneficial to use light tippets and long leaders on the clear river. The fish have seen lots of offerings and it will be a good thing to stalk the banks carefully and present your flies precisely. Make sure you try and hide yourself a bit, as if the fish see you, they will be less likely to feed freely.
