Fishing the Upper D has been productive, although not spectacular. Lots of small brookies and a few rainbows can be caught on dries in the morning and evening, floating them along structure and in shallow riffles. Stripping buggers in deeper water can produce bigger brook trout, with the occasional decent rainbow thrown in. Surprisingly, casting buggers to rising fish can also produce.
