Crooked Report
The Crooked River is one of the top winter trout fisheries here in Central Oregon. The fish population on the Crooked is outstanding. There are around 3,000 to 6,000 fish per mile. The Crooked is a great place to catch fish. During the winter months there are good hatches of Blue Wing Olives and midges. Nymphing little mayfly nymphs, scuds, and egg patterns can be fantastic. Water levels are low but has not affected fishing. If you are looking for a close outing, the Crooked River is hard to beat!
