Fished East Lake on Saturday June 8 with Patrick and Keegan. The midge hatch was in full bloom in the am. The fish seemed stuffed from the chronomids the night before. We bounced around the hump, the NW and west shorelines scratching a fish here and there. They remained optimistic and we had a great day of moderate temps (72-73), no wind and plenty of sunshine. I also fished Sunday June 9 with the family. Once again it was a great day. The only change was a consistent breeze out of the west that seemed to produce much more consistent action. We also found a good size callibeatis hatch going on around 1030am on the east shoreline. If your tired of the pollen in town hit East Lake for a great, clear day.
