Stonefly Update #2
The big bugs are present in excellent numbers between Warm Springs and Maupin. Be prepared to fish smaller golden stone patterns, as the goldens are outnumbering salmonflies by as many as 10 to 1 in some areas and the fish are catching on. Warmer weather is causing the bugs to take flight, especially later in the day. Breezy afternoons have led to some spectacular dry fly action the last few days. Now is the time! Don't forget to bring your mayfly and caddis boxes, as the fish are taking notice of these key hatches as well. It's a good time to be on the river!
