The Met. is always a pleasure to fish

This river just is a special place to spend a day. The fishing is often just the frosting on top, as walking the banks here puts a smile on even the most hardened face. Watch for BWO hatches around 1 or 2pm. It often pays to take a break and watch for a bit around this time. If nothing is rising, nymphing Oct. caddis or golden stoneflies in combo with small mayfly and midge patterns, should bring some success. If your after the big Bull Trout, toss obnoxious streamers in deeper polls and along undercuts and logs. Some of those "lake" fish will be dropping back out of the system, so there are a few less fish to chase your offering now than in the Fall or Winter. The fishing is still closed above Allingham Bridge, so remember to stay below.
