Spring creek fun
The Met. is a good option at this point. BWO's have appeared on occasion, but each day is different. If conditions line out, no wind, overcast, warmer than colder, it can be fantastic, but that's a lot to ask for. You can still nymph with some success throughout the day, but look for rise forms in the early afternoon hours. If you don't find any rising fish, toss the nymphs again. Stones in combo with PT's, copper johns and even some black zebra midges are good choices. Bull trout fishing has slowed down a bit, with some of the "lake" fish dropping back out of the system. You can still find some, but most will be resident fish. Look to structure, like logs and undercuts and strip your streamers along them.
