Rising River

The Crooked has risen to pretty high levels as of this weekend and the turbidity is higher than normal as well. We did have a bit of success nymphing here when the water was down this last week, but clarity has been worse than normal most of this winter. Looking at the reservoir it might be a while until it settles out to a more normal clarity level. Look for levels under the say the 400 mark and you have fishable water to play with. The hatches have been fairly inconsistent. There have been a few BWO's, but most of the recent success has been subsurface with Midges, PT's, Scuds and Copper Johns.
