Warm Springs to Trout Creek

The Deschutes has been dropping steadily for well over a week now.  Flows are currently around 5300 cfs at the Madras gauge.  Although these flows are a little on the high side, clarity has been excellent and the trout are gorging on stonefly nymphs.  We even saw one adult salmonfly last night at the Trout Creek boat ramp.  It won't be long!  There's still some BWOs and March Brown mayflies hatching midday, but with the bright skies it seems like just the smolts have been interested in feeding on top.
