Lowed Deschutes

The flows are great and the trout are happy. The big bugs are on the move. Lots of March Browns and caddis on the water but the fish aren't scarfing on the surface other than that magical 1 hour window every day. The biggies are being had on stonefly nymphs. A great combo is a big, nasty Jimmy Legs and a #14 Copper John. This duo of flies roped dozens of big trout this weekend. Big fly-little fly is the ticket to success down there.
