Trout Creek to Harpham

Just home from a three day trip between Trout Creek and Maupin.  The weather was unseasonably cool and we encountered a fair amount of rain...not necessarily a formula for great stonefly fishing.  However, the fish were willing and many fish were caught.  Even though the big bugs were clinging tight to bankside vegetation and not in the mood to fly due to the cold air temps, we stuck with stonefly dry patterns almost exclusively.  Green Drake and PMD hatches in the afternoons also had fish looking up and we caught a few fish on those bugs as well.  Jon treated us extremely well in camp with some amazing food!  A great three days on the water!  Caddis season is just around the corner...give us a call to experience this awesome trip down the Canyon.
