Slower Fishin' but Great Company

I had a great day today on the Warm Springs to Trout Creek sections with Roger and Dave.  These guys kept me laughing the whole trip.  You can really tell they are the best of friends.  Fishing was a bit slower than I had suspected, but we did manage to get a few top-water eats on a Chubby Chernobyl with a white wing.  There were more rises than fish caught and a few fun ones on the Jimmy Legs that we tied on as a dropper, but not the action we expected.

Flows were up a bit from the previous day, which maybe accounted for the slower fishing.  Overall, a fun day, and the sun was out almost the whole day.  A far cry from the dreary, rainy weather that we suffered through before Memorial Day weekend.   Surprisingly, there was more pressure on the river than before Memorial Day, so people must have taken the week off after the holiday hoping to avoid the crowds.
