Green Drake time

The Green Drakes are starting to show. It should be in full swing by the end of the first week in June. This is a late afternoon hatch, so make sure you stay around until at least 5pm. Pick some good water and watch for those big may's to emerge. You should start to see fish slashing and striking the bugs in furious fashion. Have a few flies to change up as you get refusals or the fish wise up to your offering. This is a wicked fun hatch, if you hit the right day. Overcast is better than sunny, but any day could show some results. There should be some golden stones on the heels of the Green Drakes, so get ready for some good fishing here over the next two months.
