Spring creek fun

The Metolius has been decent, but a portion of these rainbow trout will be spawning this spring. The fishing will be hit of miss for a while until all the spawning activity is over. The next great hatch here will be the Green Drakes in the late May/June time frame. Nymphing Golden Stones along with Green Drake Nymphs is a good option now and an egg pattern might just get some action. This is a great place to spend a day and the fishing is just an added bonus.
