Crane opened this last weekend without much fuss. The winter weather has limited access to the resort boat ramp only. It will only be a matter of time before the warmth does it's job and the remainder of the ramps will be available. Early on it's less likely to be a chronimid/indy show, as the cooler water temps will have fish spread out. Look to the "flats" and strip bugger type flies. This is a good way to cover water. Certain areas might hold more fish, so remember where you had those strikes and circle those zones thoroughly casting and stripping flies. Full sinking lines are beneficial for this type of fishing. Please stay away from spawning areas near the creek mouths as these fish are finishing there business and are the key to our fishing future.
