Big River Fishing from Warm Springs to Trout Creek

Took a day trip with a father-son combo, Randy & Randy, from Warm Springs to Trout Creek today.  Despite decent action on Golden Stone dry flies, amidst the plethora of lessons I was delivering, the Randy's didn't bury many hooks, but they both made vast improvements in their fishing throughout the day.  Fish were still looking up at our Salmonfly and Stone offerings throughout the day and were occasionally willing to take a stonefly dropper as well.

It was a great day, overall, and the Randy's improved their big river fishing techniques dramatically throughout the day.  I'd say that following another Lower Deschutes trip under their belt, they will be well on their way to hooking and landing loads of Red Sides.
