Crooked River Report
The Crooked River is currently being electro-shocked by the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife. This will put a damper on the fishing for about a week or so. Fishing should pick up on the Crooked substantially in the next few weeks. Nymphing throughout the middle of the day will produce the best results. We like to use caddis, mayfly, and midge imitations during this time. Try our shop favorite "Winkers Midge" during the day under an indicator, it is truly a consistent producer. Once the sun begins to set and there is shade on the water, the fish will begin to look up and surface activity will increase. Be ready with caddis and PMD dries. Evenings on the Crooked can be a lot of fun!
