Bill & Paul from Warm Springs to Trout Creek

Chris and I guided a foursome today and I was lucky enough to have a couple of good fishermen, Bill and Paul along for the ride with me.  Despite relatively slow fishing, they were able to raise a good number of fish on Salmonfly dries with a few other patterns thrown in.  Both men really improved their casting throughout the day and by day's end they were able to put their fly right where I asked them to, which was resulting in some decent action.

Paul stayed righteous with dry flies all day, while I was able to convince Bill of the power of the dropper.  Despite the dropper offering, though, most of the action we saw was on the dry offerings.  Paul had one notable hook-up in the morning on a Orange Stimulator, size 8, but he was a wild fish that knew just where to run to break off.

We saw the best action under the trees down near the Hawaiian Islands, again, which is no surprised.  Also found a new fun spot on the final run into Trout that produced a few fish before we called it a day.
