Is the Crooked River finally slowing down? I was out with Michael and his daughter, Annie today and had pretty slow action on the Crooked River. Although we had a few opportunities, the fish were for the most part not cooperating, despite our best efforts nymphing and dry fly fishing. We tried the usual suspect with respect to nymphs: blue berries, copper john's and hair's ears with little success. There was a decent PMD hatch as we arrived, but we saw very little action with the offerings we presented. Nonetheless, I thoroughly enjoyed the day with the duo and hope to see them again with the rest of their family.
