Dry Fly Fun on the Crooked
The Crooked river is making me sound like a broken record lately. Fishing has been super consistent and steady out there. Caddis and Pmd's have been the main dry fly producers right now. A lot of these times both are hatching at the same time. This would be a great time to try fishing two dries at the same time. Blue Wing Olives have also been in the mix at times. We have been fishing fairly small sizes of these dries. Sizes 16-20's have been best. Nymphing still with midges, lightning bugs, and small pheasant tails have been killer. If you are looking for a place to take someone fly-fishing for the first time, the Crooked River is an awesome place to do it. You should expect lots of action and opportunities to catch fish.
