Don't Forget the Brookies
Man we are so lucky being in Central Oregon! This time of year so much is going on it's easy to forget about some of the fisheries. With fall at our doorstep, kids are back to school, and many steelhead anglers don't give a damn about trout this time of year. Well that just means places like the Upper Deschutes will be nice and quiet. You could possibly have all the water to yourself this time of year. Mosquitoes aren't near as bad this time of year and there are still plethora amounts of book trout and small bows on the Upper D. Fishing little dries like the Adams and Caddis patterns is a really fun way to fish up there. So while the busy month of fall offers so much, don't forget the upper D.
