Options on the Lower Deschutes

Time has gone by fast! Approaching mid-September, more and more reports of steelhead being caught above Sheras falls have been reported. Down below Maupin has been the most consistent still for steelhead. Fish have been caught on swinging, skating, and nymphing. If you put your time on the water, the rewards should come your way. It is the time we have been waiting for. Fall  is in the air and steelhead on their journey up the D!
Trout fishing has been pretty good. Caddis and little mayflies have been productive. Fishing the trees and riffles will give you the best success. September is a great time to fish trout as many of the anglers have moved to steelhead. October Caddis should be appearing soon!
