Dry fly time!
The Fall River is fishing well right now. The summer hatches are overlapping with the fall hatches, providing quite a buffet for the trout. Flavs, mahogany duns, BWOs, yellow sallies, October caddis, midges, and terrestrials are all on the menu right now. Be prepared to change flies constantly and pay attention to what the fish are eating. Just because you caught one fish on a BWO doesn't mean the next fish you see will be keyed in on the same thing. 4 or 5 fly changes can be necessary to get one fish to eat. When the cool, wet weather arrives, mid day fishing will be excellent. For now, try to seek out shaded areas or areas with lots of structure and you should find rising fish. Remember, the river below the falls closes at the end of the month.
