Transition on Crane
Fish are starting to move out of the channels which means try using leeches, damsel fly nymphs, and caddis pupas. Look for water around six feet deep and use a variety of different colors for leech patterns. Fishing on Crane has been interesting this year. It has not been spectacular by any means. Use intermediate sinking lines when stripping back leeches or damsel nymphs. Crane is a great place to find some big Cranebows. The quality of these fish is amazing so be ready at any time to tie into a steelhead sized trout!
