Keep your fingers crossed for some nice weather. We expect the fishing to be excellent in this cascade lake. We have seen progressively better fishing each of the last 3 years and with good water levels recently there should have been great survival. That should mean a few good year classes and plenty of big fish mixed with the "little" guys. There has been some success, but with warming water temps, expect the fishing to pick up. The old chironibobber method is the staple here. Find the channel, then the depth and set those red, black or olive chironimids about a foot off the bottom and hold on! We have had a couple boats out here recently, each reported multiple fish, but maybe not as many as we would expect in late May, into early June. The cold winter has things a bit late this year, but it was a good start for the given conditions. Clear sinking lines with bugger's or stickleback pattern's are a good option if the bobber's aren't going down as much as you'd like. The cast and strip technique can cover a bit of water and maybe you just might find the zone. This is also a great way to target the Brook trout in this lake.
