Me a a couple buddies fished Crane for a few hours on Tuesday this week. We launched at Quinn River to encounter a bit of an algae bloom. The was some suspended algae floating in the upper few feet of the water column. The water is beginning to warm and the fish should soon relate to the channels more, but overall fishing was slower than expected. We did encounter an incredibly fat Brook Trout and one of the larger Kokanee I've seen on this lake, but the rainbows were not playing with us. We marked the channel depth at around 14ft, so get those chronimids close to that level. We hope to see this fishing pick up here soon cause we know there are some incredible rainbows waiting.
