Crane on Friday

When we put in Friday early, Crane was flat calm and there were midge shucks all over the water, so things looked promising. Shortly after, a SSE wind came at 15-20 and made fishing difficult: there just aren't many places to hide from that breeze. The good news is that a few fish were caught and the warmer weather will get the chironomids going so that we can sit on the fish once we find them. With 14' of water in the flats, the Cranebows are scattered, so try wind-drifting green or black flash-a-buggers & leeches or cast and strip the channel edges and the neighboring flats 'til you find them.
