This week should help
East is accessible, but most of the lake is still frozen. This warm weekend and brighter sun, should break things up pretty quick. There has been a few decent reports, but there is just not a lot of water to explore right now. The area by the hot springs is open water and maybe 100 or so acres is open. There should be plenty of stocked rainbows around and some bigger browns looking for some meals. Stripping chub imitations or olive/brown or black buggers on sinking lines is a good way to start off in the colder waters. Vary your retrieve until you find a pattern that is working. Try stripping slow, then fast, maybe some quick starts and stops. Find what's working for that day.
