GREEN DRAKE'S!

Got a good report from a friend who camped on the river over the holiday weekend. The Green Drakes were hatching and fish were caught! This is a late afternoon hatch, so be prepared around 3pm, expect the bugs to show around 4pm and be over in an hour or so. There are some PMD's hatching beforehand, around 2pm, but the fish seem to be waiting until the Drakes fly to show themselves. These are big meals and the fish seem to like them, so expect a flurry of action from 4 to 5pm or so. Slashing strikes and multiple rises should be the case, so have a few patterns at the ready and if you get a refusal or no looks after a few well placed casts, switch it up and try them again.
