Diversity on the Upper Deschutes
When fishing the Upper Deschutes, there are many locations to try out which gives us a variety of different fishing. When fishing the Deschutes near town, throw little dry flies such as Parachute Adams or little caddis patterns during the evenings. This is a time when you can catch numbers of the little rainbows and browns. If fishing the Upper Deschutes from Little Lava Lake to Crane Prairie Reservoir, fish small attractor dry flies and ant patterns. To catch the bigger brookies, fish deep throwing streamers near the undercut banks. Nymphing little beadheads can also be super effective. Get out there now and FISH!!!
