The Crooked has been fishing great lately! I guided with Russ Scott, who manages the Lake in the Dunes and the Grindstone Lakes, and together, we got our clients on a lot of fish! There has been a consistent PMD hatch coming off around 11am, and the dry fly fishing has been good. Before and after the hatch, we have been nymphing with "winkers midges," "lightning bugs," and PMD emergers. The evening caddis hatch has been consistent and the fish are eager to take dries once the sun is off of the water. Get down there while the fishing is hot!
