Lava Lakes

Fishing at the Lava Lakes has improved a lot in the last few days.  With warmer temperatures on the horizon, we will begin to see much stronger callibaetis hatches in the afternoons.  Fishing has been most consistent with streamer patterns and callibaetis nymphs on an intermediate sinking line.  Some of our favorite callibaetis nymphs/dries are the extended body callibaetis, pablo's cripple, and the birds nest (all in sizes 14 & 16).  Get out there soon, and be one of the first to experience the full callibaetis hatch this Summer!
