Metolius River Fishin'

The staff here at Fly & Field unanimously agree that even though the fishing can be tough at the Metolius, you cant beat a day spent on this river.  However, this is a great time of year to head out to this river.  With the Green Drake hatches beginning to slow down, we will start to see Golden Stones flying around in the upper stretches of the Metolius.  During this transition between drakes and stones, nymphing golden stonefly nymphs can be really productive.  Also, in the evenings (around 7ish), expect to see small rusty spinner mayflies.  As always, be prepared for anything on the Metolius.
