Hosmer Friday the 13th

A nice bachelor group of bucks.
Fish on!
Bachelor & Brookie.
My buddy Brad Mitchell and I had a great time and pretty good fishing on Hosmer this morning.  Really a beautiful day that started with a group of bachelor mulie bucks and a good bite when the boaters weren't running over the fish.  Don't get me wrong:  there weren't any radical kayakers and everyone was pretty nice, just a little clueless.  Anyway, we hooked a dozen, half brookies, all fat, square-tailed 16-17 inchers, and the other half mostly smallish atlantics, although Brad had one hot 19 incher.  We got a few dry fly grabs despite not much of a sedge hatch and only sporadic rising. Mid-day was good with baetis dries in the channel for atlantics.  There's a decent afternoon damsel hatch in the lower lake, but we were done and didn't fish it.  Tight lines - Jeff
