Big Brown, Little Bug
Better late than never. I fished with Chuck and Mac on Thursday(8/9) and after much debate and soul searching we headed for East Lake. What a great choice. Fished all the usual suspects in the usual areas and had consistent action all day.The rainbows and browns on dries, Koks on the drift. After working the dries for a few hours and a couple good fish, we took a break of sorts and wind drifted. This break was interrupted by Chucks' drag and bent rod.A monster brown, complete with shoulders on an size 18 callibettis. Tipped the scale at a girthy 23 inches. We finished the day with more dry fly fishing, but the surface feeding had slowed considerably by early evening. Great day on the water and good company.
