Numbers on the Crooked

Crooked River as of late has been fishing extremely well. If you want a consistent place to catch a plethora of trout in a day, I would suggest heading out to the Crooked. Nymphing during the heat of the day has been producing large numbers of trout that thrive in the Crooked. Nymphing Winkers Midges, Bubbleback Emergers, and Lightning Bugs have been the go to flies. Dry fly action is best when the sun is off the water so finding shade is key. Lately, Caddis and Pale Morning Duns are hatching on the Crooked so once the sun leaves the water in the evening get ready for an eventful evening of dry fly fishing. Fishing is HOT so get on out!!
