Calli's and East Lake
The Callibaetis Hatch is one of the most prolific hatches on East Lake. Fishing in the afternoons is your best bet. Fishing around the white slide and the cliffs is always a good choice. Make sure to have all stages of the Callibaetis. Wind drifting Callibaetis nymphs is one of the most efficient ways to catch fish on East when the dry fly fishing is slow. Sometimes the fish at East can be picky, so have various patterns of Callibaetis Dries and nymphs. Don't forget, there are some large brown trout in East so throwing streamers around dawn and dusk could lead to the fish of a lifetime. Fishing East lake gives us the opportunity to catch Alantic Salmon, Rainbow Trout, Brown Trout, and Kokanee all in the same day! We call this the East lake Grand Slam!
