Sometimes tough at Hosmer

Hosmer as we all know has one of the largest "Paddle Hatches" in Oregon so going late and early is the best way to avoid the crowds. Fishing remote parts of the channel or fishing in the second lake is a great place to start. Using callibaetis, damsels, sedge caddis, and callibaetis spinners have been good flies to have. Fishing small nymphs like Lightning bugs can be productive too. Remember Alantic Salmon are different that trout and are willing to eat something colorful or different. It doesn't get much prettier than Hosmer Lake. Go out and enjoy Hosmer sometime because it is damn worth it!
